Protect your client data with improved contact permissions
Three granular permissions have been added for contact management, giving your decision makers greater control over who can create, edit, and delete contacts. This serves as an extra layer of security to ensure that only authorized team members can make changes to critical contact data.
When contact permissions are first enabled, nothing changes for existing users with their ability to create, edit, and delete contacts. Admins can then customize individual permissions as needed.
For new users, admins will be able to set permissions when new colleagues are invited to your Karbon account:
Admin: All permissions enabled.
Standard: Create and Edit enabled.
Restricted: All permissions disabled.

Alongside the enhancements to contact permissions, improvements to the accounting contact details interface have been made so that your team members can still see key information even without edit access.
Send invoices to multiple client emails with ease
Invoices don’t always go to just one person—and now they don’t have to.
You can now send invoices to multiple recipients at once, significantly reducing the admin time and work needed to get invoices to the right people.

To make future invoicing even easier, you can also add additional billing contacts directly to a client’s record. This way, invoices will be sent to all relevant contacts automatically.
To do this, find your client’s contact and go to Details > Billing > Edit.

Access custom contact fields through the API
You can now get and change custom contact fields through the Karbon API, making it easier to update and sync custom client data between systems and keep everything consistent.
Access and update custom field values for each contact.
Create new field types like text, number, date, or dropdowns.
Keep custom field data aligned across tools with less manual work.

Files now appear on all assigned Work timelines
Previously, files from an email assigned to multiple Work Items would only save to one Work timeline.
To improve visibility and collaboration, those files now appear on every assigned Work Item.
