The new Karbon and TaxNow integration brings real-time IRS transcripts and notices monitoring directly into your client timelines and workflows in Karbon. With this integration, you are better positioned to be a proactive tax advisor than ever before.

What’s new:

• Automated IRS transcript monitoring: TaxNow runs nightly checks and automatically pushes relevant IRS transcript updates directly into client timelines in Karbon with smart client matching.

• Priority-based notifications integrated with Karbon: Intelligent alert routing sends low-priority updates to client timelines, medium-priority alerts tag client managers, and high-priority alerts notify both client owners and managers with automatic Triage notifications.

• Complete transparency with source documentation: Every alert includes one-click access to raw IRS transcripts and structured data showing IRS codes, tax periods, forms, dates, and amounts for quick review and client communication.

• Seamless client history integration: All IRS activity becomes part of the permanent client timeline in Karbon, working alongside existing notes, tasks, and communication records.

• Aider: Streamline period close workflows by syncing Aider checklists directly within Karbon.

• Ignition: An upgrade to one of Karbon’s most popular integrations automatically creates clients and work when a proposal is accepted in Ignition.

• Spotlight Reporting: Schedule and manage advisory services from your Karbon tasks.

• Vinyl: Automatically sends AI-generated meeting notes, summaries, and action items to Karbon.

A new document sidebar is available to help you quickly view and locate client documents. This update enhances Karbon’s document management capabilities, especially for firms sharing and collecting files through the Karbon for Clients portal.

What’s new:

• Centralized client file management with a view of all client files on the Documents tab.

• A new documents sidebar to that automates file organization:

  • Shared with Client: Files that have been shared with clients via client requests or the ‘share’ action

  • All Documents: A complete list of files and documents related to a client, either at the work level or the client level

  • Archive: Any files that have been archived at the client level

  • Connected Folder: A client level DMS folder connection
