John Freeman
Co-FounderJohn co-founded Paycycle with Stuart in 2009, and after its acquisition by Xero he moved to the US to lead the engineering team, building online payroll for the US, UK and NZ markets. He has 20 years' experience in software development, systems architecture and building high performing engineering teams.
Ian Vacin
Co-Founder & Chief Partnerships OfficerIan’s experience as VP of Product Marketing at Xero and Intuit allowed him to chat to thousands of accountants over the past decade, understanding what challenges the industry faces, understanding how accountants can improve their productivity and profitability through better workflows and ensuring new products can cater for these needs.
Sara Goepel
Chief Product OfficerSara has been leading product teams for the past 20 years. She was one of Xero’s early employees in 2007, and responsible for teams building sales, support and operational systems, as well as a global product scalable to millions of customers. Sara has been with Karbon since the start, and has been instrumental in building the Karbon product into what it has become.

Brett Miller
Chief Financial OfficerBrett started his career in the transaction services and M&A due diligence group with KPMG. Most recently he was CFO of Restaurant365, where he helped grow the business from $7M in revenue to $100M+ and more than 1000 employees. He has extensive experience leading vertical SaaS companies through the scale-up stage, managing funding rounds and product acquisitions.

Then, as COO of Advisor, an accounting firm, he turned its first 20 clients to over 120 in only two years. Tim was employee #1 at Karbon and leads our global Sales team.
