One of the most-requested enhancements to Karbon Billing & Payments is the addition of a proposal and engagement solution that enables Karbon to manage your firm's end-to-end customer lifecycle.

As a result, development for Engagements, Karbon's proposal and engagements solution is now underway.

The Service Library is the first Engagements feature being developed and will soon be available for beta testing. In the Service Library, you can create your firm’s service lines and link service types, work templates, and fees to those services. 

In future releases, there will be additional functionality including adding services to an engagement, and sending a polished proposal for client approval and eSignature.

A new Billing dashboard is now available in Karbon Practice Intelligence (KPI) to help you better visualize and understand your firm’s Work-in-Progress (WIP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Realization reporting.

The WIP AR Reconciliation report provides daily updates on your firm’s key WIP and AR metrics like total WIP, payments received, and total posted credit notes within your selected time period. 

You can also drill down and slice the data by client, client owner, and client manager to perform more granular and in-depth analysis.

In the Realization report, you can look at all data available in the WIP AR Reconciliation report in much greater detail. Slicing your data up by work, team members, role and task type to better understand where your WIP is and how it’s being billed.

With more visibility into your realization, you can keep your finger on the pulse of your firm’s financial health, spot problematic trends early, and act quickly to course-correct with confidence.

The KPI Billing dashboard will continue to evolve with new reports being added in the coming months to fully unlock your financial reporting in Karbon.

After months of beta testing, you can now use Karbon AI to instantly get up-to-speed on your team’s latest interactions and activity with a client.

At the top of your contact timeline, Karbon AI will automatically generate a comprehensive overview about your client including amount invoiced, unbilled, client requests, and work items. It’ll create a bulleted summary of the latest 10 email and note conversations.
