Work type workflow customization

Last release saw the introduction of work types, in order to help you group different jobs and pieces of work into specific groups.

One thing that was clear, however, was that each work type could have a very different flow (and hence different set of workflow statuses). For example, for Payroll you might have a set of statuses like planned, waiting for information, draft run, ready for review, payrun completed while for onboarding new clients these might be awaiting signed proposal, systems setup, account setup, jobs setup, onboarding completed

As of today, Karbon allows you to define and map workflow statuses to work types.

This will help your team manage how each work type is tracking against their specific statuses.

Hide empty Kanban board columns

Paired to the workflow customization, and in order to reduce side-scrolling in Kanban boards, you can now hide empty columns. This is available for all Kanban views, but we especially recommend you use this filter when viewing for Work Types by status (so only relevant statuses display.)

Custom client task reminders

Some tasks deserve urgent reminders; but others, even when overdue, are not as urgent or important to remind clients every day.

Besides gentle and urgent reminders, you can now add custom reminders to your client tasks, which let you customise their frequency and select how often your clients will receive reminder emails.

Edit work team

Any colleagues with tasks, emails or notes assigned to them that are associated with the work were automatically to the work team. You can now also edit the work team and add other colleagues that are involved indirectly in the work.

This feature is especially relevant for those firms with outsourced teams who should be able to access specific jobs but not the client information. If the client is private or hidden, the work team will only have access to the job.
