Credit notes, quick collect, remove payment method + more
This release introduces several highly requested updates to enhance your workflow and provide greater flexibility in managing billing and client data. Credit notes are now available, giving you more control over invoice adjustments. You can quickly collect overdue payments using saved client details, remove or update payment methods as needed, and update your contacts’ service types in bulk via a new update file.
Credit notes
Credit notes are now available to all customers using Karbon for billing. Create a credit note from a sent invoice and decide whether to write off or return the work and time to unbilled. You can then apply the credit as a payment to other invoices.
Quick Collect payments
Effortlessly collect payments with Quick Collect. Using your client's saved payment details, you can initiate payment collection for any outstanding invoices. Quick Collect makes it simple to take action and settle invoices quickly.
Automatic invoice updates: Once payment is processed, your invoice status updates automatically to paid.
Full payment history: The user who initiated the payment is recorded in Activities & Comments, providing full transparency and an audit trail.
Flexible payment action: You can collect payments on both overdue invoices and those yet to be due.
Remove and update payment details
Billing Admins can now remove a saved payment method at a client's request. Removing a payment method automatically halts future autopayments until a new payment method is added and autopayments are enabled.
Update service types in bulk
You can now update service types in bulk using the bulk contact update file. A new section lets you add up to five service types for each contact. Simply submit the file to Karbon Support (support@karbonhq.com) for processing.
This enhancement makes it easier to set up, manage and update service types across your contacts, unlocking more powerful segmentation and filtering capabilities.
