This template is designed to streamline your business tax return workflow, regardless of tax form.

When using this template, be sure to select the work type for the appropriate form (e.g. Tax: 1120, Tax: 1120S, Tax: 1065 and Tax: 990).

This template has two sections at the top of the workflow that allow you to manage the extension process, if needed. Please ensure 'Extension Needed' and 'Extension Filed' are added as In Progress work statuses and enable those work statuses for the applicable work types (e.g. 1120, 1120S, 1065, and 990) to take advantage of this.

The template is set to kick-off, complete, file and confirm with the client within 4 weeks (barring client slow down or internal issues).

The automators within the workflow will update the task due dates, change statuses of both the tasks and work, and move the assignment of the work automatically based on the completion of the sections themselves.
