This template has two sections at the top of the workflow that allows you to manage the extension process, if needed. Please ensure 'Extension Needed' and 'Extension Filed' are added as In Progress work statuses and enable those work statuses for the applicable work types (e.g. 1040 and 1041) to take advantage of this.
