Karbon Now Available on Microsoft AppSource for All Workplaces

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, United States — February 11, 2019 —  Karbon today announced that its workstream collaboration tool — originally built for accounting firms — is now available for workplaces of all types on Microsoft AppSource, an online cloud marketplace providing tailored line-of-business solutions.

Built on Microsoft Azure, Karbon unites teams with a single place to work together. It increases productivity and output by integrating Microsoft Office 365 email with internal communication, workflow, task management and automation in a cloud-native platform.

“At Karbon, one of our objectives has always been to improve the humanity in technology, and we’ve applied our skills to this over the last three years to benefit the accounting industry. Along our journey, we’ve come to realize that the issues facing accountants are felt more broadly,” said Karbon CEO Stuart McLeod.

“In 2019, we're taking all the lessons that we've learned and are applying those to the broader economy. Karbon is now available to any enterprise who would like to be more organized and achieve their goals with less stress and less distraction,” McLeod said.

Karbon combines email, discussions, tasks and powerful workflows to keep everything a team needs to get work done in one place and in context.

Kirsten Edmondson Wolfe, Senior Director, AppSource Product Marketing, Microsoft Corp., said, “We’re excited to welcome Karbon to AppSource, which gives our partners great exposure to cloud customers around the globe. Microsoft AppSource offers partner solutions such as Karbon to help customers meet their needs faster.”

Microsoft is an integral factor in Karbon’s success: The app is built on Azure, it’s deeply integrated with Office 365, and there is a Microsoft Teams integration currently in development and slated for release in early 2019.
