Karbon Ranks No. 33 on the Fortune Media and Great Place To Work® 2026 Best Workplaces in Technology™ List
Karbon is one of the 2026 Fortune Best Workplaces in Technology™, recognizing a culture Karbonites have built together, rooted in care for their work, ownership of their careers, and a commitment to serving the accounting industry.
SAN FRANCISCO, October 13, 2026 — Karbon, a global leader in AI-powered practice management software for accounting firms, has been named one of the 2026 Fortune Best Workplaces in Technology™, ranking No. 33 in the Small & Medium category. The recognition honors the exceptional workplace culture Karbonites have built across the company in the US.
The Best Workplaces in Technology list is highly competitive. Great Place To Work, the global authority on workplace culture, determines its lists using its proprietary Trust Index™ Survey to evaluate and certify thousands of organizations in America’s largest ongoing annual workforce study, based on over 1.3 million survey responses and data from companies representing more than 7.3 million employees.
Survey responses reflect a comprehensive picture of the workplace experience. Honorees were selected based on their ability to offer positive outcomes for employees regardless of job role, work status, or other demographic identifier.
The recognition follows a milestone from June, when Fortune Media named Karbon in its 2026 Best Small and Medium Workplaces in Chicago™ list. The difference between these lists is that one recognizes Karbon’s work culture within the local space, while the other measures it against technology companies of every size, including some of the largest in the world. The result across both is an exceptional culture that Karbonites feel in every team and region, and that holds its own against the industry's best.
“Our industry is evolving, and so are the skills our team brings,” says Mary Delaney, CEO of Karbon. “I’m proud of how Karbonites continue to explore better ways of working, adopt new technology with curiosity, and share every learning with each other. What never changes is the care they bring to their work. At a recent all-hands meeting, one Karbonite spoke about our culture of service to the industry, to the firms we work with, and to the clients those firms look after. That care is what this recognition reflects.”
That culture also shapes how careers unfold at Karbon.
“Every Karbonite truly lives our values, and that’s what makes this a supportive and inspiring place to work,” says Jourdan Pym, VP of People at Karbon. “We’re passionate about helping our people grow while we grow. As Karbonites develop their skills, they may find that they want to step into the next role on their current path, or further diversify their skill set by taking on a role in another department. We’ve seen this happen often here, which is why Karbon has invested in a six-tier growth track, mentorship, and an emerging leaders program that gives employees a clear path toward their goals. It will always be their career to shape.”
