Running a remote accounting workforce
Many argue that the traditional office is becoming a thing of the past. If so, is remote working the way forward for your accounting firm?
Harshman Phillips & Company (HPC) was a traditional CPA firm. But all that started to change in 2011 when co-founder Bruce Phillips attended The Sleeter Group's Accounting Solutions Conference in Las Vegas.
Bruce realized that technology was about to dramatically change the way accountants interact with their clients. Within six months HPC mothballed its servers, closed its physical offices and let all employees work from home. Their staff head count increased to 28, with team members spanning 14 states within the USA.
In this session Wayne interviews Bruce to find out what he has learnt running a remote accounting workforce. Bruce shares what has worked for them, and what he would do differently.
