This template is designed to guide you through Karbon's best practice workflow for individual tax returns (e.g. T1) for your Canadian clients.

To use with Karbon, set the work type to 'Tax: Individual return (T1)', and review and simplify to your own firm's unique corporate tax preparation method of delivery.

This is the end-to-end process to support an individual tax return for a walk-in client, new client, and/or more complicated return.

The automators within the workflow will update the task due dates, change statuses of both the tasks and work, and move the assignment of the work automatically based on the completion of the sections themselves. The template is set to kick-off, complete, file and confirm with the client within 4 weeks (barring client slow down or internal issues).
