A message from our CEO regarding COVID-19

We all need to play our part in halting the global spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19. The health of our employees, customers, and community is our top concern. That's why we're making some changes to how we work, while maintaining our business operations at full capacity.

We know that our customers rely on Karbon each day to do their job and provide a service to their clients, and this reliance will only increase as the working habits of people around the world are disrupted.

What we are changing:

  • Staff are encouraged to work from home

  • All business travel is banned, both international and domestic

  • Face-to-face meetings are limited. Where possible, staff are asked to meet over video conference

  • No face-to-face meetings with anyone who has visited a High-Risk Country in the last 14 days

  • All event participation is being reconsidered

  • We have a number of events of our own planned. We will be reviewing each one of these individually

  • All staff are being educated around hygiene and health, and are being kept updated daily on any changes to our Internal Coronavirus Policy

What this means to our customers:

Essentially nothing. There will be no impact to the Karbon platform, planned updates, or customer support.

Our team is located across three countries, and many already work remotely. We are very fortunate that the way we work together and the tools we use — including our own platform — put us in a great place to weather this global storm.

If you have registered to attend any upcoming events organized by Karbon, we will update you if there will be any changes to these.

We know that many of you will be working from home during this period, many of you for the first time. We have collated our most useful resources that provide advice and tips to make remote work just as effective as working in the office.

Remember that Karbon is open for business as usual, and we are here to support you, while doing all we can to be part of the solution.

What this means to other firms:

Every firm is facing new challenges transitioning to a remote workforce.

To help you adapt in these uncertain times, we are making some changes.

We are expanding our free and paid services to help your team transition to Karbon in the shortest time possible. And user-minimums on all our plans have been removed to make Karbon’s work management platform available to any firm that needs it, regardless of size.

All our plans are available on a no-commitment monthly basis so there is no lock-in if your circumstances change.

Unite your distributed team with a virtual place to work together now, and when you move back into your office you can decide to keep it or return to whatever worked before.

We know that this is a challenging time, and we will do everything we can to help every accounting firm maintain business-as-usual. Learn more here.

Be smart, be safe, and be good to one another.
