Ian is passionate about helping accounting professionals be as successful as possible in order to positively impact the small businesses they serve. With 25+ years of experience in technology & process improvement and 15+ years of leadership experience in the accounting industry at Karbon, Xero, and Intuit, Ian is an recognized expert, innovator and teacher in the field of practice efficiency and growth.

Ian received both a Master of Business Administration (Kellogg School of Management) and a Master of Engineering Management from Northwestern University. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from and was an Industrial Engineering lecturer for 2 years at the University of California, Berkeley.

He is APICS certified and was recognized as both the Top 20 Under 40 Professional Superstars by CPA Practice Advisor and the 2013 Marketers That Matter Award from The Sage Group / Wall Street Journal.
